“Is that you Hadif?” perlahan Melissa bertanya.

“Kenapa? Are you expecting someone else? Sorrylah kalau I kacau,”

“No Dif! But why now? Kenapa?” suara Melissa berubah lirih.

Aku mengeluh. “Are you sure I’m late?”

Melissa tersentak. “Maksud you?”

“It was you who gave me the CD. Why didn’t you tell me, Melissa?”

“I want you to figure out by yourself. And then you’ll make a move,”

“Honestly Melissa. I memang tak pandai dalam hal-hal macam ni. I’ve never fall in love before,”

“I tak pernah sangka, I’ll fall for someone like you. And you’re different from all the guys that I’ve met. You’re so hard to get close to,”

“Mel?”

Melissa bungkam.

“When we’ve started chatting thru SMS, since then I was in love with you. When I did nothing but just keep on staring at the cards and gifts you’ve given me, since then I was in love with you. When we first spoke on phone, since then I was in love with you. When my eyes captures the mind blowing glow in your eyes when we’ve met, since then I love you. And now, I just don’t know when did I start to fall in love with you. But one thing for sure, I’m in love with you for who you are, Melissa Firdaus,”

Melissa menekup mulutnya. Air matanya kembali jatuh berderaian pada pipi mulusnya. Akhirnya lelaki itu mengaku bahawa mereka sememangnya berkongsi satu rasa hati yang sama. YA ALLAH!

Cuma, lelaki itu terlewat! Tempoh yang diberikan sudah pun berakhir semalam dan lelaki itu tidak memberi sebarang jawapan sejak 2 bulan yang lalu. Dan kini, Melissa harus bersedia untuk melepaskan Hadif pergi. Dia harus berpegang pada janji yang dibuat pada dirinya sendiri.
