"i'd be off overseas for the whole weekend. i gave your dad 300$ and dont waste it just on watching films, ok?" mom hugged us before she board on the taxi.

i was quite silent after that.

"jom makan." ayah ajak kami masuk ke dalam rumah.

aku waited on the dining table patiently while dad was cooking in the kitchen. it was deadly smelly in the house. ayah opened api pada tahap paling tinggi and it smells like something burning.

dad put telur dadar on a tissue, he put the plate in the middle while the two burned ikan masin sits infront of the rice.

"the most perfect dish here is the rice" kakak said.

i stared at the black telur dadar.

"you can still eat it" ayah koyakkan telur itu and put it on our plates. aku ragu ragu untuk masukkan that telur in my mouth.

we still eat it anyway.

the soysauce was a rescue.

"malam ini ayah kerja" dad said while putting some mixed rice in his mouth. he looked down on his plate.

"jangan lupa tidur awal."

the day silently passed quickly. dad went away after maghrib.

both of us. kakak and me left in the house.

i sat on the couch while kakak sat on the floor. kami berdua memeluk badan and we stared at each other.

"dad said we should be sleeping in the living room" i said.

"but"

"we all know you sleep kasar and tendang tendang" i glared at my sister. i was afraid to sleep next to her since she knew karate.

i laid the toto.

"ill put it here. in case" kakak put her pillow between us and sleep at the other side.

"hey, use that" i pointed to the toy boxes. i had many and i think we used 5 boxes.

"selamat malam" i switched off the lights and we went off to dreamland.

well at the otherside of the dreamland,

dad was sitting alone in the police patrol car. it was tough being a policeman. lagi lagi being duty at night.

he opened the second bottle of revive. the cans of hundred plus from yesterday ada dibelakang bonet. well, he should send them to kitar semula.
