Getting The Right Propellers

Other Series 588

All the while I had been flying with the wrong propeller size with the wrong motor. End up keep on burning the ESC aka electronic speed controller.

I had keep on changing the ESC MOSFET to save the costs of buying the whole ESC instead.

Finally one day, a hobby shop supplier saw my posts of my photo and straight off he mentioned that I used the wrong motor. That motor supposingly only for 250 size quads and not for the 500 size quad. I am using 10inches propellers and that's the main factor where when the motor spins it draws too much current from the battery causing the ESC overloaded.

When I knew about this, I quickly changed a new sets of motors (920kv) and voilà...it works. Also changed the propellers to 9 inches.

Now, I am flying with confident up to 200m away from ground. I even taking live video feed and share to my Instagram.

Moral of the story is: never over load the ESC. No matter what, the ESC rarely heats up. If is heats up, the motor that you are using is not suitable or the propeller size is too huge.
